And as lovers of fashion and style, we couldn't help but to get drawn into the runway shows and fashion vendors. -Insert happy face-. If you've never been, the Atlanta Ultimate Women's Expo, now in its 18th season, is like a weekend shut-in with your best girlfriends, complete with spa treatments, fashion, and bubbles. A brand after our own heart, Adventurista Boutique is an online shop where you can find clothes and accessories that cater to the wanderlust soul. Their brand was created for the woman who seeks adventure in the everyday - no matter where she is, or what she’s doing. We've run the circuit of runway shows and events in Atlanta. And while the local fashion scene is different from Paris, or even New York, there are certain designers that definitely prove this city can hold its own on the fashion scene. When we stumbled upon homegrown designer label, Megan Fullerton at the Atlanta Ultimate Women's Expo, she had actually run off to take a probably much needed break. But it was her husband that was able to answer any questions we had about the brand. (Talk about team work.) With high quality, luxury styles, the SCAD graduate's new label is already making waves, including presenting her new 2019 Resort Collection, Mino, at New York Fashion Week a few months back.

One of the runway designers this year included local brand, Elva Mae, whose mission is to embrace, value, love, and affirm women through fashion and community. And their body positive mission was evident all over the runway. Run by Atlanta native, Deanna Rice and Bronx native, Ashley Booker, Elva Mae caters to fashion-forward women in a wide-range of sizes that flatter authentic body types. But the company only offers short-run items, which adds to their one-of-a-kind appeal.

We had the pleasure of meeting Kimmy Waajid, at her DIY earring making workshop, presented by iSSaWrap, where we had a fun opportunity to learn a really cool hack in the art of jewelry making. Waajid was also on hand to also demonstrate head wrap techniques. Loving the new earrings!
