Brands We Loved:
The Nantucket Bagg
As a professional performer, who’s always on the go, I live by the tote bag (or many, many tote bags as it seems to be for me.) I am the bag lady. I once even wrote a song about a tote bag because it lasted me for years, and guided me through all kinds of travel & experiences. So trust me when I say I have an eye & touch for spotting a tote with durability. And the Nantucket Bagg is it. It could be perfect for anyone that has to cart things around from Makeup Artists, Crafters & DIYers, Jewelry & Accessory Creators, Photographers, Travelers and more. I was very careful about not spending money on a bunch of things I didn’t need at the expo. But of the companies I plan on shopping from after the expo, Nantucket Baggs is at the top of my list.
Kentucky Bourbon Maple Syrup
This one is for the lovers of bourbon and syrup. Imagine them together. Drizzled over a fresh stack of French Toast. Imagine your mouth watering - maybe there’s the slightest bit of drool that escapes from your lips. Ok. You get it. The original Kentucky Bourbon Maple Syrup was another brand we discovered - tasted at the expo. #yum. One of the mistakes we saw a few companies make at the expo was trying too hard to sell. Your methods should never be aggressive, and with a syrup this good, it sells itself. The company mostly sells at Farmers Markets and various shows & expos. If you're not located near Kentucky. Never fear. You can also shop on their website. Be sure to check them out to take your next batch of Chicken & Waffles to the next level. And check out their Maple Sugar Blend while you're at it!
Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament
At Medieval Times, the pageantry and thrill of an authentic Medieval tournament comes to life inside the walls of the King's 11th century style castle. Featuring authentic swords fights, jousting, and pure Spanish horses as you feast upon a four-course meal, this interactive show allows you to become apart of the story being sorted into teams while cheering on your knight. And as of 2019, the Queen is in charge of the Medieval Times show - something about the King being off fighting enemies in foreign realms. Either way - #whorunstheworld. If you're looking for a fun outing this summer, be sure to add Medieval Times to your seasonal bucket list!
Sisters Traveling Solo
We had a chance to meet seminar presenter, Cole Banks, creator of Sisters Traveling Solo, who’s company is one of the fastest growing travel brands out there. For any woman who’s been afraid of traveling solo, Sisters Traveling Solo is a great resource of inspiration, opportunities and a travel community of solo female travelers. The company hit a million dollars of revenue in 2.5 years, and has been featured on Essence, Black Enterprise, and Money.
