"When I was asked to be apart of this year's event, EDIN was a cause that I immediately connected with. As a professional dancer, body image is something that you're constantly aware of from castings, to costume fittings and tour weigh-ins. Over the course of my career, I had a few friends that suffered from various eating disorders, but getting to know the disorder, I've learned that it affects a wide variety of people. As cliche as it may sound, I believe in nourishing not only our bodies, but our minds and souls. And with eating disorders being not only a physical problem, but an emotional one as well - I can only imagine the affect of our society's current fascination with image. So, I'm super excited to support EDIN and help raise funds & awareness in the Celebrity Dance Challenge. And, I hope to see you at the Buckhead Theatre on April 20th!"

In the past 7 years, this event has helped raise awareness and funds that have gone directly to the school and community outreach programs which provide speakers for schools, workshops for parents, training for professionals, presentations for coaches, age-appropriate curriculum for teachers and students, and Love Your Body Month events. Founded by Dina Zeckhausen, Dina has been helping people recover from eating problems for over 20 years. She wrote the first children’s eating disorder prevention book called Full Mouse, Empty Mouse: A Tale of Food and Feelings (Magination Press, 2007) which won the Gold Moonbeam Award for Children’s Wellness. In addition she has also written The Ultimate Tween Survival Guide to Eating Disorders: Understanding Them, Preventing Them and Helping a Loved One (Booklogix, 2013) to help young people dealing with a loved one’s eating disorder; and the musical What’s Eating Katie? - about a 13-year-old girl who struggles with an eating disorder. Dina is in private practice with her husband Gerald Drose, and works in both Buckhead and Marietta at Powers Ferry Psychological Associates.
