We recently hosted our very first Starlet Experience Master Class and Workshop Series at Druid Hills Dance Center, benefiting Dancers Care Foundation. And with SYTYCD, Busch Gardens, Dollywood, and Disneyland auditions stopping in town, it was a great opportunity for dancers to pick up, or brush up on audition skills.
With a portion of each registration benefiting Dancers Care Foundation cancer charity, registration also included a chance to win an exclusive Starlet Gift Pack, featuring the DCF Couture Pink Lip Gloss designed by Courtney Galliano from So You Think You Can Dance; 100% Human Hair False Eyelashes; and a DCF Ambassador Card.

Unfortunately for us, a wonderful artic chill happened to blow across the country leaving us with less than ideal weather conditions, but we braved through it. I had the pleasure of touring the Atlanta dance supply stores promoting the upcoming workshop - in costume....in 20 degree weather. And by the time the temperatures had dropped to 5 degrees, we were looking at a studio that had been flooded due to frozen pipes - twice. But did that stop us? Well, almost. Let's be honest. But thanks to DHDC studio director, Bonnie Bigler who worked tirelessly, the studio was intact for our debut!
Although we came close to shutting it down, looking back, I remember that what we do isn't easy. Its definitely more grunt than glamour. But when it's for a great cause, it's always worth it. So thanks to the Starlets who led a rockin' workshop, thanks to the Dancers Care Foundation for all their work on behalf of dancers, and a special thanks to Druid Hills Dance Center for all their efforts!
