This season marks the two year anniversary of our dear little Debbie Delight! Proud native of Decatur, GA her training in hip hop has allowed her to work under notable choreographers such as Sean Bankhead, Victor Jackson, D-Ray Colson, LaMonte' Ponder, and Lyrik London. DD loves learning different styles of dance including samba, hula, reggae, salsa, and jazz. And she has been apart of the Stella family for 2 years. In honor of our fiery vixen, we've posted a recent and exclusive, little Q&A below. Be sure to wish her congrats in the comments!
SE: Who/What is your biggest inspiration?
DD: My father. I love him so much and I love making him proud.
SE: What do you do to train and/or stay fit (dance classes, gym, yoga, etc)?
DD: I take dance, yoga, and total body fitness classes weekly. I also run after my 2 yr old niece whenever I can.
SE: What do you love doing outside of dance?
DD: I love going to concerts, open mics, plays, and different restaurants.
SE: Any advice for younger dancers pursuing a career in dance in Atlanta?
DD: Always remind yourself of the joy dance brings to your life and let that keep you motivated. Never stop training and learning so that you are prepared when an opportunity presents itself.
SE: What's the most challenging thing about being a professional dancer?
DD: Working in an unpredictable environment...you just never know....
SE: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
DD: I see myself still dancing around for fun, but hopefully with a husband, kids, career and traveling included. lol.
SE: Funniest or most embarrassing moment in your career?
DD: I don't think it has happened just yet. I'm sure it will be any day now. LOL.
