In the fashion world, many are gearing up for London Fashion Week presented by Mercedes Benz. And in celebration of all things fashion, we've been breaking down the top trends spotted at Small Boutique Fashion Week, which was hosted by NYFW in Atlanta back in July. For the first installment, we presented Stella Style Trend | Pop Art, which has been all over the runways. So for this Stella Style Trend edition, we fast forward a decade - or two - to present Return of 76' - which is proving its here to stay for yet another season. Check out the video for tips on how you can incorporate a touch of 70's glam into your wardrobe this season. And if you feel inspired, be sure to LIKE or SHARE on Facebook or Twitter! It's the happenin' thing to do. :)
1970's Revisited:
Some may see fashion as frivolous, but I've always seen it as a reflection of the culture and climate of the times. And the 1970's was a pivotal decade of change around most of the world with America in Vietnam; governmental and political change throughout the Middle East, UK, Soviet Union, and Africa; a worldwide oil crisis; and one of the worst natural disasters of all times with the Bhola Cyclone killing an estimate of 500,000 people. So it's only natural that the fashion of the seventies reflected the era's zeitgeist. People were seeking escape, freedom, and liberation - however they could achieve it - whether in fashion, music, or disco culture. If you want to take a cue from the 70's, be bold and daring - and add a dash of balls to the wall & over-the-top to your wardrobe this season...just a dash.
