THE SUITE
In Atlanta, fall is a great season for festivals. And what better way to start, than with Taste of Atlanta? Now in its's 14th year, Taste of Atlanta is the city's premier food, wine, beer, and cocktail festival that showcases the diversity of Atlanta restaurants and attracts food lovers from Atlanta, the Southeast, and beyond. Held in September, instead of October this year, the weather wasn't quite on our side. But it didn't stop the food lovers! With over 80 restaurants, live cooking demonstrations, hands on cooking classes, and a VIP experience featuring beer and wine provided by Hop City - it was quite the experience, despite the constant drizzle of rain. (Some of us even left with tummy aches from eating too much.) Check out the highlights below. And be sure to LIKE or SHARE on Facebook or Twitter! Do it for the foodies. :)
New This Year:
Cashless System:
“This was a game changer for us—we used RFID wristbands," says founder of Taste of Atlanta, Dale DeSena. The taste coupons were converted to taste points. Every restaurant had their own RFID reader and a computer where you could tap your wristband, and it showed how many taste points you had - which meant faster service.

The VIP Experience:
With over 80 participating restaurants, who needs VIP right? But the VIP Experience was an opportunity to feast on amazing samples from a selection of exclusive restaurants not found in the main festival. Aside from tasting samples from some of the area's best Atlanta restaurants, the VIP Experience also included samples of cocktails from several of the city's top bartenders, and an amazing selection of wine from around the world. And Hop City, even curated more than 100 of the best craft beers to sample for all the beer lovers.
